Richard Plackemeier manages the Kansas City office of CHS Hedging, where he leads teams with the main goal of providing superior risk management services that help commercial agribusinesses and farmers achieve their financial goals. Plackemeier joined CHS Hedging in 2012. He previously worked for Prudential Financial on the trade desk at the Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT), later managing their floor operations and account deck. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with Bartlett Grain – merchandising truck grain, trading terminal grain and sourcing milling wheat positions – and for Evans Grain Company locations in Nebraska and Iowa. Plackemeier served for two years on the KCBT Board of Directors. He has an agricultural economics degree from the University of Missouri.
